Thinking about an upgrade?
Brother no longer makes printers that use TC tape, though classic P-touch models keep going for years. When you're ready, today's P-touch label makers use TZe tapes, with hundreds of colors and widths up to 1-1/2". Shop P-touch label makers ›
About Brother TC tapes
Fits classic P-touch models3/8" (9mm) & 1/2" (12mm)25 ft rollsLaminated: water, UV & chemical resistantShips same day by 3pm ET

TC tapes use Brother's laminated process, so the printed text sits under a clear protective layer. They resist water, oil, chemicals and UV fading, and hold up in hot and cold environments, from freezers to sunny windows. They work best on smooth, flat surfaces indoors or out.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use TZe tapes in a TC printer?
No. TC and TZe cassettes are different sizes and aren't interchangeable. TC printers need TC tapes.
Is Brother still making TC tapes?
Yes. Brother no longer makes new TC printers, but it still produces TC tapes for the many classic machines still in use. Some colors sell out between shipments, so check each part's page for availability.
Which width do I need?
Every TC printer takes both 3/8" (9mm) and 1/2" (12mm) tapes, so choose whichever fits your labeling job: 3/8" for small items and cables, 1/2" for larger, easier-to-read labels.
What do the 2-pack part numbers mean?
Some TC tapes are packaged by Brother as 2-packs, marked on the chart. The price on the product page is for the full pack.
